We did it and we are celebrating! Our first year in this beautiful place has yielded new opportunities, new friends and a renewed view on life. What was once important has been replaced with a focus on working to live, enjoying our environment and setting goals related to our impact on this community. We are giving back, striving for health, and loving being with each other.
Before coming here, we heard a lot about “island time.” We assumed that meant things would move more slowly here. Being people who have always focused on getting things done ahead of time, we have now embraced the pace here and learned to appreciate how calming it can be to take a step back and review the process and enjoy our transformation.
The Meyer family looks forward to the next life chapter, the next excellent hike, and the next glorious day!
“Life is a process of becoming, a combination of states we have to go through. Where people fail is that they wish to elect a state and remain in it. This is a kind of death.” – Anais Nin
